Establish a hosting account with us. You'll be able to access your new hosting account via the server's hostname you receive in your setup email. Upload your web site files to your domain folder through FTP or publishing software (Front Page, Dreamweaver, etc.)

In your welcome email, you will receive a temporary link to access your NEW web hosting site before anything goes live. Verify all graphics, web pages, links, etc are working on your NEW hosting site.

Once verified, go to your registrar and change your "name servers" to those mentioned in your setup email.

Your web hosting site will be updated WORLDWIDE within 24-72 hours. Note: you may be able to see your site on your new server within 12 hours, please allow 72 hours cycle deleting your old host.

First step is you establish a web hosting account with us. Start by ordering any of our premium web hosting plans.

After payment is verified you'll receive your setup email within 30 seconds. In the email will be your usernames / passwords that grant access to the server via your assigned server hostname. Upload your files to the server via the server's hostname. MAKE SURE YOU PUT EVERYTHING IN YOUR DOMAIN FOLDER and YOU RENAME YOUR HOMEPAGE "index.html" ALL LOWER CASE. Use the temporary link provided in the email to view your site.

In your setup email(s) there will be a pair of DNS or Name servers. Use those DNS to change them for your domain. If you don't have a domain control panel (that is where you usually can do these changes) please email or call your registrar and ask them to change your name servers to those provided to you in your setup email.

After the DNS changes has been made your domain will now begin to point to your server with TK Web Hosting. This will take 24-72 hours to resolve along the whole world as every ISP updates their DNS at different times.

If after 48 hours you can not access your domain via www.yourdomain.com please do a whois on your domain HERE .Make sure your name servers show are those provided in your setup email. If they do not call your registar right away to get it corrected!

Already have a domain registered somewhere else and want to move it to us and have all hosting in one place?

First step: go to Tk Web Hosting page and open an account to login into the domain portal. Once you've created the account click on transfer at the top right side.

Type the domain you want to transfer to Tk Web Hosting.

Make sure the admin contact email is active because an email will be sent to this email to approve the transfer.

If the domain still has 6 months or 2 years left before it expires, will I lose the remaining time?
NO. When you do the transfer it will add one year on to the current expiration date!

Once processed, you'll receive a conformation email. Approve it and allow 24-48 hours for the process to occur. If you've already approved the email, login into your domain control panel. If the process is not complete, contact your registrar, and ask them to release the domain name.

While waiting for the transfer, feel free to purchase your hosting plan and upload all your files to the server. Remember once you order a web hosting you will have immediate access to the server via the server's hostname.

If you don't want to move your domain to us, just modify your DNS following the steps above. Remember your domain will expire at some point so it's wise to add years to the domain and not wait until the last minute and risk losing your domain!
